If you were arrested for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?

WorldNetDaily: Men jailed for being on public sidewalk:
"Two men who are members of Gideons International, the Christian organization that is famous for, among other ministries, placing Bibles in motels and giving them to children, have been arrested after trying to hand out Bibles on a public sidewalk in Florida, according to a law firm."
While the article goes on to state they were doing it outside a school, I know the Gideons well enough to know that they will not force it on anyone, that has never been that way. They were on a public sidewalk and were walking away when it happened. And when they chose to leave peacefully when asked, they were arrested. Seems like ignorance has gone to seed when it comes to law lately.
